Leadership Icons

I’m pretty new to the leadership development world, I’ll admit it.

I can’t remember reading any business books at all (although I am sure I must have during college) until I started writing a leadership blog during the spring of 2009.

Since that time, though, I have learned quickly: who’s who, the classic books, the key players and influencers in this space.

Last week, our team at the Kevin Eikenberry Group attended the American Society of Training and Development’s International Conference in Orlando.

While there, we had the chance to meet a couple of leadership icons, along with some other key players and influencers. Having the chance to meet Ken Blanchard and Jim Kouzes in person was pretty cool, I’ll admit it.

These men have been teaching, writing, and inspiring others for a long time. They continue to make a difference by using their platforms to positively affect others.

You can do the same thing. You don’t need to be a leadership icon, a Jim Kouzes or a Ken Blanchard to make a difference. You can make a difference where you are, today.
