The transition from individual contributor to supervisor is a complex transition and one that requires the support of the organization to be successful. New leaders must learn how to lead others (many of whom are their friends), make high-risk decisions they’ve never had to make before, give difficult and uncomfortable feedback, and strike the delicate balance between delegation and control. That’s a tough list to tackle, and it’s just the beginning!
To ensure success through this difficult transition, it’s critical that organizations actively engage in providing new leaders with the preparation they need to transition effectively into their new role.
Over the years, with an increasing gap between the need for and supply of new leaders, many organizations have had no choice but to rapidly promote high performers. As a result, these organizations are then unprepared to support their new leaders with the training and resources they need to succeed.
You can help your company and your employees by providing them with solid management development training – training that goes beyond the technical nuts and bolts of their daily task list. They already know that stuff. Now they need to leadership skills to take them to the next level, to prepare them for all of the unexpected challenges they’ll face and to help prime your leadership pipeline for years of organizational success.
And now, we are offering you the chance to preview this learning experience. When you preview Bud to Boss, you will get the chance to experience and learn the skills yourself, to determine if the workshop would work in your organization.
We aren’t looking for people to sit in the back, observe and spend half of the day on their email. We want people to roll up their sleeves and laugh and learn with the others paying the full investment for the workshop.
How Do I Qualify for a Workshop Preview?
You qualify for “preview pricing” if:
- Your organization is already looking to develop coaching skills for your leaders.
- You are or are being sent by a decision maker to determine if we are a good fit.
- The organization expects to take action in the next 4-6 months.
- There is some budget set aside for developing coaching skills.
In the Bud to Boss Preview, you will have the opportunity to learn the same invaluable leadership principles that every attendee in the workshop does, but at a vastly discounted price! Together as a group, we will explore your leadership situations and work to develop solutions for each. We’ll learn the essential management techniques and strategies that every leader (new or not!) needs to succeed.
After the workshop, a member of our Learning Concierge team will follow up to get your feedback, discuss your own leadership development need and determine your next best steps. If, after attending, your organization works with us on developing coaching skills in your organization (whether the workshop itself or some customized version) within the next six months, we will credit the $400 from your preview investment, making your cost to attend zero.
Your Workshop Preview includes:
- A conference workbook for note-taking and to help guide your learning
- A copy of Kevin’s best-selling book, From Bud to Boss: Secrets to a Successful Transition to Remarkable Leadership
- A subscription to our print newsletter, The Insider
- 8 weeks of the Morning Minute – brief text messages delivered each workday morning, designed to remind, inspire and inform and keep you consciously moving towards your development goals.
- 2 live, group coaching sessions after the workshop with one of our certified trainers – because one of the biggest questions we get is: How can I apply what I learn in the course back at my organization? While we will give you plenty of opportunities in class to ask questions and talk about your unique situations and challenges, that still isn’t the same as back in your workplace. With the group coaching sessions, you will get additional access to Kevin for one full hour per session to help you continue to master the strategies and techniques you learn in the workshop.
